The Special Event Company: Promoting Sustainability & Community Service Worldwide Through Event Planning
At The Special Event Company (TSEC), our event planners look at our business like a community that extends from our immediate event planning team, our nation and ultimately worldwide. Everything we do, from our meetings and sustainable events to services, reflects back on these communities, and we understand that our actions affect others.
It’s therefore essential to ensure that our strategies for best practices in sustainable event planning, fair trade and the environment are second nature to us and our greater community. These practices were put to good use in the planning of the week-long Walton Sustainability Solutions Festival at ASU.
Our event specialists in North Carolina and around the world have worked to develop alliances with suppliers and partners who share our enthusiasm and are dedicated to sustainable practices. We’re proud of our results to date, and will continue to make this a strong effort on our part, seeing that we are current on best sustainability solutions practices.

TSEC’s Community Involvement
Our global event planning team also feels strongly that we give back to our local communities and use our expertise in public service. Our core team works closely with various community projects and in the support of non-profit organizations that support and enhance the world around us. We are proud supporters of organizations like Roger Daltrey’s Teen Cancer America, where our CEO is a main board member, as well as Make-a-Wish of Eastern North Carolina and The First Tee, where we produce their major annual fundraiser.
