The Summit was the kick-off for a three year program, and featured a series of multi-day programs, including the first large scale conference at DPAC. To introduce the 14 Grand Challenges of Engineering developed by the NAE, kick-off and finale conferences were hosted at the University of Southern California. Each program attracted key speakers such as the Secretary of Energy and leaders from major organizations such as Cisco and Lockheed Martin. Each of the 14 challenges had individual topic specific conferences, from which a series of white papers was produced and presented at the final Summit. In addition to the meeting management, TSEC produced all marketing materials and graphics.
