The Special Event Company finished out the month of September with the successful planning and hosting of the 10thAnniversary Celebration of a triangle-based women’s networking group, BROADS.
Led by Executive Producer, Tracy Adams, the event production team transformed The Special Event Company’s Raleigh headquarters into an elegant networking space for more than 80 Triangle businesswomen.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a celebratory cocktail provided by Rocky Top Catering at a “living table” by Elevate, a Raleigh-based performing arts studio. Once inside, attendees had three levels of office space to network with past and present members of BROADS as well as other local businesswomen.
The event was officially kicked off with opening remarks led by Becky Jacobs, a BROADS group leader. She took attendees down memory lane with the history of the group and expressed the importance of continuing it to support the sharing of ideas and experiences amongst Triangle businesswomen.
Chief Executive Officer, Sally Webb, followed Becky, thanking several of the event sponsors and elaborating on how BROADS has supported local women professionally.
The remainder of the event provided an opportunity for guests to connect with one another as they normally would during group meetings but with entertainment and elegant refreshments. They also were given the chance to take a branded group photos at the “selfie station” provided by A Selfie Spot.“It was truly an honor to host such an extravagant event at our office,” said Sally Webb. “I believe that everyone in attendance truly enjoyed themselves and were pleased to connect with similar women from all generations.”
